SUBSilk
Inspired by the SeaCell yarn she was sampling, Liz designed a simple, flowing scarf to explore the yarn's possibilities.

Editor’s Note: As one of her Yarn Lab samples, Liz sent us a beautiful scarf. It was so lovely we decided to provide a little more information about it in case anyone wanted to weave something similar. Please note that because of how Fidalgo dyes their yarns, some colors may no longer be available, and new lots will probably not exactly match old lots.

Plain weave.

2- or 4-shaft loom, 15" weaving width; 8-dent reed; 1 shuttle; 3 bobbins.
Yarns
Warp: Marine Silk Lace (51% silk/29% merino/20% SeaCell; 822 yd/100 g skein; Fidalgo), Natural, 144 yd; Tawny, 216 yd; Poseidon, 360 yd.
Weft: Marine Silk Lace, Natural, Tawny, and Poseidon, 610 yd total.

240 ends 3 yd long (allows 5" for take-up, 20" for loom waste; loom waste includes fringe).
