When and how do you insert a temple? They don't come with instructions!

There are some reasons to choose one temple over the other, but none are really “right” or “wrong.”

I know you recommend using a temple (stretcher) when you weave. I have had terrible luck doing that.

Madelyn explains the weave structures Quigley and Half Satin.

How do you determine sett for boundweave, a weft-faced weave?

Madelyn helps a weaver find good resources for warping her sectional warp beam.

Corrected treadling for a figure in "The Draft: Tied Overshot" where the treadling and drawdown did not match. Get the corrected figure here.

Patterning in half dukagång is usually done with pick-up rather than with loom-controlled blocks, but structurally it is the same as a version of summer and winter in which only one tie-down shaft is raised throughout.

How do you design a colorful warp?

Read Madelyn's advice on how to pick the right loom for weaving runners or other projects.

I have trouble understanding the concept of weaving on opposites.

If you have an 8-shaft loom but a project that only calls for 4, what do you do? Can you just ignore the extra shafts, or must you change your threading?
